On October 9, 2025, the Restoration project was a key participant in the international event “Technological and Environmental Transition in Motor Insurance” held in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The meeting, hosted at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, served as a significant dissemination opportunity to share research and insights developed within the project .
The event, organized by the AIDA World Motor Insurance Working Party, was chaired by Prof. Sara Landini of the University of Florence, a member of the Restoration team. The focus was on the transformations the insurance sector is undergoing due to the ecological transition and technological innovation, which are central themes to our project’s objectives .
The University of Florence team provided a notable scientific contribution. In addition to Prof. Landini’s role as chair, the event featured presentations by:
• Prof. Simona Viciani, who discussed “Sharing mobility and transport poverty.”
• Prof. Caterina Silvestri, who delivered a report on “Environmental justice against Bank and Insurance,” with a focus on reducing the carbon footprint in the non-financial declarations of financial enterprises .
These presentations allowed for the illustration of innovative approaches and research findings from the Restoration project to an international audience. The discussion was further enriched by contributions from local experts such as Altuna Carola and Alejandro Mena from the insurance company La Caja, who spoke on innovation and sustainability in the Argentinian market .
Participation in this event underscores the Restoration project’s commitment to fostering dialogue between academia and industry on a global scale, actively contributing to the redefinition of the insurance sector towards more equitable and sustainable models .
